No Nudes is Good Nudes
Things really are getting strange when artistic nudes are excised from a juried gallery show … in California! What’s up with that?
In fairness, the gallery was a public space in Modesto — not Chatsworth, L.A. or San Francisco — but still…. It seems the world is is more comfortable being confronted with images of carnage in Iraq and Omaha than with gazing upon something as innocuous as a woman’s breast.
After portions of their exhibits were removed because show-goers complained about the nudity, photographers David Schroeder, left, and Lee Bailey took down the “less offensive” remainder of their works, as well.
